The Lady Comet softball team (5-6) bounced back from a rough stretch Monday, defeating Peotone, thanks to a good day for pitcher Antoinette Hill in an 8-1 victory.
Hill (4-5, 1.63 ERA) cruised in the circle as she went the distance, giving up an unearned run on six hits and fanned six batters.
Reed-Custer scored two runs to take a 2-0 lead early.
A Sylvia Crater RBI triple was the big blow in the inning that brought home Alexa Cieslak in the process to make it 1-0.
