The Wilmington varsity girls had an exciting 4-3 win over Morris on Friday, thanks to a clutch hit from Jenny Kucharski.
The ‘Cats (6-1) trailed Morris in the first inning, surrendering two runs on an error.
“We came in like the White Sox playing a West Coast game in the early morning, giving up three runs, all unearned, in the first couple of innings,” said Wilmington coach Jack Skole. “But I give the girls credit. They battled back, they stayed focused and came back and pulled one out.”
