The Wilmington City Council will allow another liquor license to be issued in the city limits, paving the way for a new gaming cafe to open up in Faletti Plaza along Route 53.
On Sept. 21, the council voted unanimously to amend the city code that restricts the number of Class A liquor licenses that can be issued by the city.
The change was made at the request of Eric Kempes and Brent Van Duyne, who plan to open Birdie’s gaming cafe in the vacant end unit of the plaza.
