The Reed-Custer girls soccer team captured a 4-3 win over Wilmington on Monday thanks to a last-second goal to break the tie.
The Comets scored the first two goals and led 2-0 with seven seconds remaining in the half. That’s when the ‘Cats scored to narrow the deficit as they went into halftime trailing the Comets 2-1.
Wilmington overtook the lead as they scored another two goals to Reed-Custer’s one and they had that lead until the final 10 minutes of the game when the Comets would tie the game 3-3.
