The Coal City girls basketball team needed a stronger second half Thursday when they fell to Streator 47-36 to end the season.
Streator beat the Lady Coalers the first time around and they used a second half run to finish them off.
The first and second quarters didn’t offer a lot of points for either side although Coal City stayed close, trailing 19-15 at the half.
The Bulldogs turned it on to extend their lead with a 15-9 run in the third and cruised past the Coalers in the final frame to hold on.
