Bertha Lou Hodges

COAL CITY—Bertha Lou Hodges, 83, of Coal City, passed away April 4, 2026 at home with family by her side.
She was born in Widemouth, WV on Feb. 5, 1943 to Lonnie and Irene Hodges. She had been a resident of Coal City for eight years.
Bertha was a Presbyterian and a retired CNA.
She is survived by her children: Kathy (Tim) Adkins, William (Theresa) Blisard, Tina (David) Kline; grandchildren: James Osborne, Anthony Blisard, Frank Osborne, Jesse Osborne, Leesha Long, Hazel Kline and many loving great-grandchildren and family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother and many departed family members.
Cremation arrangements and private ceremony will be held. A future memorial is planned.
