It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And that means the Braidwood Lions are back at it, once again selling Christmas trees and wreaths from their makeshift tree lot outside Whitmore’s.

The Lions Club kicked off their annual tree sales as usual on the day after Thanksgiving. The Lions brought in more than 200 trees this year, and sold 76 over its first weekend.

Featured again this year are Balsam, Fraser Fir and Scotch Pine trees of various sizes along with small, medium and large decorated wreaths, grave blankets and small and large size grave pillows.

The Lions are also selling brooms at the lot.

The Christmas tree lot is open Monday through Friday from noon until 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. while supplies last.

The money raised during the Christmas tree sales are returned to the community through community activities and humanitarian services that the Braidwood Lions Club provides throughout the year.
