Dennis Comtois

COAL CITY—Dennis Herve Comtois, 63, of Coal City, passed away on March 30, 2026 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL He was admitted March 1 after suffering an acute cerebral artery stroke.
He was born Nov. 29, 1962 in Whitinsville, MA to Jean Hogan and the late Ron Comtois. Dennis worked as an owner/operator and drove for most of his life. He was a new England Patriots fan during the Brady era. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his little Chihuahua PePe dog. Dennis spent the last few years caring for his loving mother, Jean Hogan, in Gifford, IL
He leaves behind his mother, Jean; brothers, Tony Comtois and James Comtois; his beloved partner of 23 years, Brenda Tarver and her family; nephews James and Billy Comtois and niece, Cathleen Lowery.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
