Grundy-Three Rivers Habitat seeks construction manager

Grundy-Three Rivers Habitat for Humanity is looking for a hero, aka construction manager.
This champion with a hammer will be able to take the reign and continue to direct and lead Habitat volunteers.  Someone to be a true defender of the Habitat mission of providing safe and affordable housing.
A Habitat manager would need the background to effectively supervise and lead on-site construction.  This individual would have the ability to oversee multiple construction sites and volunteers with a variety of skill levels all while having the patience to explain and teach various abilities.              Above all, the Habitat construction manager would be passionate about the Habitat mission.
The Habitat affiliate is extremely thankful for having that kind of hero for the last 19 years with John Latimer.  He has been that super-volunteer and friend – leading multiple construction sites.
Latimer has overseen all 13 Habitat homes built by Grundy County’s Habitat so far.  Thirteen families have a home to call their own with numerous other homeowners benefiting through other construction projects because of Latimer.  If leading construction sites wasn’t enough, he has also been a leader as he diligently and commendably served on the board.
After the completion of its latest home in Coal City, Latimer made a decision to step down as manager and board leader. Although, Habitat is in his blood, he promises to continue as a volunteer in upcoming projects.
Grundy-Three Rivers Habitat for Humanity is proud to have benefited because of Lather’s leadership, passion and direction.
As this long-time hero steps down, another hero is needed to fill those shoes.          Grundy-Three Rivers Habitat for Humanity is actively pursuing a construction manager.  If you have the skills to coordinate and manage the construction of safe, decent, affordable housing contact Habitat at 815-942-1452 to discuss the position.
