National Night Out

    The Wilmington Police Department will host National Night Out 2018 on Tuesday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at Wilmington High School, 209 Wildcat Court.
    Meet the Wilmington Police Department on this night out against crime. Participants will see police vehicles, police K9, the Wilmington ESDA and Wilmington Fire Protection District.
    There will be free hamburgers, hot dogs, sno cones, popcorn, music, face painting, balloons and a free raffle. With help from Christian Life Assembly, there will be inflatable jumpers, games and contests.
    National Night Out is an effective and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. The annual event is held to increase awareness about police programs such as drug and crime prevention.
