Nick Buxbaum

BRAIDWOOD—Nick Buxbaum, 26, of Braidwood, formerly of Joliet and Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn.
Born Sept. 18, 1992 in Oak Lawn, Nicholas Edward was the son of Danita Morgan. He attended Wilmington High School, and he was a hard worker whose strong work ethic showed by never missing a day of work. Nick had an upbeat personality with a terrific sense of humor. He enjoyed going out to dinner and the movies, as well as playing video games. Family and friends were of the utmost importance to Nick, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Danita Morgan, of Braidwood; his grandparents, Lesa (Robert) Wondolowski, of Braidwood and Brian Buxbaum, of Shorewood; the love of his life, Kayla Gushi and their son, Troy; one brother, Jeffrey (Madison) Westbrooke, of Lemont; several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and one nephew.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd., in Wilmington from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m., with Reverend Bradley Shumaker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Sunset Cemetery in Wilmington.
