Post 1336 posts new sign

St. Juvin Post 1336 Veterans of Foreign Wars has purchased a new sign identifying its meeting place. The Country Meadows Homeowners Condominium Association has generously provided a meeting space for Post 1336 since 2012 and recently granted permission to erect a sign.
St. Juvin Post 1336 has been active in the community for 93 years with community service programs such as the high school scholarship program, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day recognition for all veterans, and participation in the Carbon Hill Homecoming and Coal City Octoberfest.
Veteran's service projects include the Blankets for Vets program that provides a personalized service logo themed throw for veterans with significant health issues and the Cards for Vets program which, in cooperation with Coal City schools, provides veterans in local skilled care and assisted living facilities a Christmas card with a note from a local school student.
 St. Juvin VFW Post 1336 has a social media presence on Facebook and its page features post activities and events.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is the largest combat veteran's organization in the U.S. with over 1.2 million members. St. Juvin is always  is always looking for service men and women who qualify for membership to join in its service projects.
