Ride for the Ta Ta’s event is Saturday

It’s estimated that more than 266,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed this year. To help those facing a new diagnosis, undergoing treatment and to support research initiatives, the Ta Ta Trot will be riding for the ta ta’s.
The fifth annual Ride for the Ta Ta’s is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3. The cost to participate is $25 per bike/vehicle with proceeds from the 110-mile journey to benefit the American Cancer Society and Riverside Medical Cancer Foundation.
The route for this year’s ride will take participants from Carbon Hill Park to On the Rox in Kankakee. From there the group will travel to Road House in Manhattan, Liquid Therapy in Joliet, Honest Abe’s in Morris and back to Coal City where the ride will conclude at Babe’s Tap where food will be served as part of the registration.
Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with riders heading out at 11 a.m.
Participants have a chance to win a raffle basket at registration. Chances for additional raffles will be sold at Babe’s Tap and a 50/50 will be held.
Ride for the Ta Ta’s is one of two events the Ta Ta Trot puts on each year to support breast cancer support and research. The organization’s signature event the Ta Ta Trot 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 13 in Carbon Hill Park.
