Ride for the TaTa’s supports breast cancer research, support

It’s estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed this year. To help those facing a new diagnosis, undergoing treatment and to support research initatives the TaTa Trot will host a fundraiser this weekend.
    The fourth annual Ride for the TaTa’s  is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 4. The cost to participate is $25 per bike/vehicle. Proceeds from the 135-mile journey will be presented to the American Cancer Society and Riverside Medical Cancer Foundation for breast cancer health and research.
    Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lacey and Holcomb streets in Carbon Hill with the first bike departing at 11 a.m.
    The first stop of the day is at Dock Rotz Tavern in Minooka and from there the riders will travel to Symerton for a stop at Symerton Tap & Grill, then on to Oliver’s Bar & Grill in Kankakee and Tom’s Tavern & Restaurant in Kempton before heading back to Coal City where the ride will end at Babe’s Tap.
    Participants have a chance to win a raffle basket at registration. Chances for additional raffles will be sold at Babe’s Tap and a 50/50 will be held at all four stops. Additionally, merchandise will be sold during registration and at the ending celebration.
    Food will be available at Babe’s Tap, the cost is included with registration.
