Roger Logue

WILMINGTON—Roger Carl Logue, 77, of Wilmington and formerly of Taylorville and Pekin, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Born May 14, 1940 in Taylorville, Roger Carl was a son to Jessie and Mary Helan (nee Noblet) Logue. He was raised and educated in Taylorville and graduated from Pekin High School with the class of 1958. Roger found a calling to assist and mentor individuals paroled from prison and in 1975 founded the Prisoners Release Ministries. Through his work, Roger was lucky enough to meet the love of his life, Diane K. Vlasak and on Sept. 4, 1978 they were married. Together they were able to write over 7.5 million dollars in grants for the Ministry and place over 15,000 individuals in jobs, with a 70 percent retention rate. In his free time Roger enjoyed scuba diving, vacationing and traveling in their RV with Diane. He was also proud to assist Diane with their grand champion Dachshunds. Above all, Rogers’ work was his life.
