Taylor DeMarco

Taylor J. DeMarco, 27, of Coal City, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1995 in Morris to Nicholas R. DeMarco and Paula J. Platt. Taylor grew up in the Minooka area, graduating with Minooka High School’s class of 2015. She married her high school sweetheart, Damien Kojder, in Morris on Feb. 9, 2018. Taylor had several jobs including working at the Amazon warehouse in Channahon. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed having her dogs and cats over the years. Her family meant everything to Taylor. She and Damien enjoyed hiking in Starved Rock together, she wore a gold locket daily with a photo of her and her dad in it and she and her grandparents spent much time together baking, cooking, shopping and visiting.
She is survived by her husband, Damien Kojder; her father, Nicholas DeMarco, of Gardner and her mother, Paula Platt, of Minooka; her brothers, Anthony DeMarco, of Saunemin and Colt Schultz, of Minooka; her sister, Nicole DeMarco, of Saunemin; her paternal grandparents, Francis “Frank” and Anna Marie DeMarco, of Crest Hill and her maternal grandmother, Alice Platt, of Mazon. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Platt, formerly of Galvaston, TX.
Cremation rites have been accorded as were Taylor’s wishes.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Dr., Coal City. Inurnment will follow at South Emery Green Cemetery in Streator.
