The title goes to RMCS B team!

THE REED-CUSTER Middle School seventh grade baseball team won the IVC conference title. The Panther 7th grade baseball team won their conference tournament this weekend beating Wilmington 10-0 in the first round and Channahon 11-1 in the championship.
In the first game Jagger Garcia pitched all 5 innings for a shutout. Chase Isaac led the way on offense with 2 hits and 3 RBIs and Trent Boudreau had 1 hit and 2 RBI’s.
In the championship game Matt Kuban was on the mound and allowed only two hits and one run over five innings, while striking out nine.
Kuban, Reed Newbrough, Caedon Baumgartner, and Trent Boudreau each collected multiple hits to gain the conference title for the first time since 1995. The Panther’s are now 6-1 with a six game winning streak and look to finish the last two week strong!
The Panthers got things started in the first inning. RC Panthers (B) scored one run when Matthew Kuban singled. They put up four runs in the third inning. Reed Newbrough and Kuban each had RBIs in the big inning. The Panthers had 11 hits in the game. Kuban went 3-for-3 at the plate in hits. Kuban led the way with four. RC didn't commit a single error in the field.
