William Dunkin

GODLEY- William Dunkin, 56, of Godley, IL, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. 

William was born Nov. 7, 1961 in Anna, IL to Lee and Margaret Faye (nee Sanderson) Dunkin.  Butch was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he was awarded with the Good Conduct Medal and an Expert Rifle Badge.  Butch was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wilmington.

  Surviving are his two brothers: Todd (Trina) Dunkin of Wilmington and Greg (Flor) Dunkin of Manhattan; two sisters: Jennifer Barr of Braidwood and LeAnn Dunkin of Godley; grandmother, Lessie Lee Dunkin of Anna; five nieces: Danielle, Michelle (Glen), Kristin, Kassidy, and Karlee; 8 nephews: Marcus (Kaylee), Cameron, Carson, Caden, Bryan, Jake, Eric, and Evan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial service will be at the Grace Lutheran Church: 907 Luther Dr., Wilmington, Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at 1 p.m. with memorial visitation one hour preceding services.  Inurnment with military honors will follow at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. 

Family and friends are invited to join the funeral luncheon that will be held at the church, following the committal service.
