The Coal City varsity tennis team wound up going 1-1 over the past week, as they split two games, winning against Lisle, but falling to Streator.
Against the Bulldogs, the Coalers suffered a 3-2 loss.
In singles action, No. 1 player Xander Smith picked up a win over his opponent, winning both sets, 6-4.
No. 2 singles player, Adam Wren, wound up losing his match in two sets, falling 6-1, 6-2.
The No. 1 doubles team of Joey Fatigante and Logan Schoen also suffered a loss, falling in two, 6-4, 6-1.
