Being the mayor, no matter the size of the town, is a lot of work. Just ask Adam Johnson.
“You would think being a small town there would not be that much going on, but there is a lot of stuff behind the scenes that the average Joe would not even thing of,” said Johnson, the new mayor in the village of Carbon Hill.
As an appointee to the Village Board, Johnson served as the town’s commissioner of streets and alleys for about 18 months prior to his election as mayor this past spring.
