WILMINGTON— Richard "Rick" Welchko Jr., 73 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2024 at his home.
Born March 5, 1951 in Chicago, Richard Lambert was a son of Richard, Sr. and Shirley (Grimm) Welchko. He was raised and educated in Midlothian and graduated from Marist High School. Rick worked for Amtrak for thirty years as well as serving as the water operator for Lakewood Shores. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, serving with the Fr. George Kuzma Knights of Columbus Council #11149.

COAL CITY—Suzanna Frederiksen, "Sue," 75, of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 at Morris Hospital.
Born Feb. 17, 1949 in Joliet, Suzanna was a the daughter of Anton and Gladys (Argyle) Togliatti. She was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1967. On Nov. 1, 1969, Sue married John Lee Frederiksen at the Coal City United Methodist Church, and together they would share 55 years of marriage and call Coal City their home.

CUSTER PARK—Susan E. Lindsey, “Gal,” 81, of Custer Park, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 at her home. Born on Aug. 5, 1943 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Jarvis and Marie (nee Alms) Nolan. She married Basil L. Lindsey and together they made their life and raised their family in Custer Park. After 30 years of employment as a packer she retired from Personal Products/Johnson-Johnson in Wilmington. She was a member of Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington. She enjoyed crocheting, planting flowers and making home made candies.

MORRIS—Mary M. Beldon, 74, of Morris, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Morris Hospital.
Born on Dec. 8, 1949, in Morris, Mary Madeline was a daughter of Francis E. Sr. and Frances Agnes (Adams) Halpin. She grew up in Gardner, where she graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School. With a passion for helping others, Mary pursued her education in nursing at St. Joseph College of Nursing.

WILMINGTON—Kevin C. Hill, 70, of Wilmington, formerly of Crest Hill, IL, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 at Aperion Care in Wilmington.
Born Aug. 28, 1954 in Adrian, MI, Kevin was the son of Gordon and Ada (Tyler) Hill. He was raised in Crest Hill and graduated from  Lockport Township High School.

MORRIS—Michelle Denise Jennings, 43, of Morris, passed away peacefully with her family at her side.
Born Feb. 4, 1981 at St. Joe’s Hospital in Joliet, she was the daughter of Rhonda C. Nichols (Bill), of Braceville and Jerry (Christine) Jennings, of Giddings, TX.
She is survived by her parents, her brother, Matthew (Kellie) and nephew, Max Jennings; her four children; Madison, of Braceville; William, Maggie and Rylan at home; her devoted love of her life, Adam Meade, of Morris and her large family of loved ones.

WILMINGTON—It is with sadness the Partilla family announce the passing of Carol Partilla on Oct. 3, 2024.
She was the wife of Andrew Partilla, of Wilmington; mother of Andy (LaVon), of Morris; Eric (Rachel), of South Wilmington and Nicole, of Wilmington; as well as the grandmother of eight grandchildren and great-grandmother of 12.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julie and Carl Olson and her brother, Richard.

JOLIET—Edna R. Anderson Singleton, “Reggie,” 96, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.
She was born on March 24, 1928, in Chicago. Her father owned and operated O-K Auto Repair and taxicab service in Chicago. Her family later relocated back to the family homestead in Braidwood where Edna attended grade school and High School, class of 1945. In her later years she did some modeling and attended Olive Harvey College after returning to Chicago after high school. Edna was employed by Illinois Bell in Chicago, and later retired from AT&T after 31 years.
