Margaret A. Wise-Hudgins

SHOREWOOD—Margaret A. Wise-Hudgins, 75, of Shorewood, formerly of Braidwood, passed away Aug. 12, 2023 in Joliet.
She was born March 14, 1948 in Cairo, IL, the daughter of Leo and Ellen Mann. She was a resident of Braidwood for 18 years and 20 years in Shorewood. She was a 1966 graduate of Century High School near Ullin. Margaret was a member and was very active in the Saint Luke Lutheran Church in Olmsted. She loved baking, participating in craft shows, sewing and crocheting. Margaret enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and gardening. She loved her family and loved taking care of everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hudgins, of Karnak; four daughters: Sarah (Ed) Armbruster, of Highland, IL; Tammy (Brian) Cook, of Joliet; Mary (John) Tahlier, of Deland, FL and Amy Wise, of Shorewood; four grandchildren: Taylor Cook, Jarrett Cook, Samantha Armbruster and Henry Tahlier.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ella Schnaare Mann and her uncle, Henry Schnaare.
Funeral and burial services were held in Karnak, IL on Aug. 17, 2023. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Judson Church, 2800 Black Road, Joliet. A brief service will begin at 2 p.m. followed by a time to share memories and fellowship with family and friends.
