Spring Road closed through March 18

Spring Road between Broadway Street and the Union Pacific Railroad in Coal City, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through March 18.
Work has not been planned during the weekend, and the road will remain open for school buses, garbage trucks and emergency vehicles. Access to driveway entrances will be maintained in the area throughout the workday.
There will be times when driveways, especially those on the north side of Spring Road, will be blocked. Affected residents will be notified prior to blocking so vehicles can be moved.
Traffic will need to reroute, either down to Reed Road and up Berta Road, or up to Route 113 and down Berta Road. Road closure signs will be placed at the intersection of Spring and Berta roads, at the intersection of Spring and Broadway roads.
The road will be reopened at the end of the workday to allow traffic through.
